Enzo Bellomo ‘Scrigno’

Italian composer Enzo Bellomo’s Scrigno which means ‘Casket’ referring though to a jewel box has just tickled our more sophisticated musical nodes here at High Violet (yes, we do have taste!). It’s a marvellous sprawling classical meets jazz exploration of personality, dynamics and beauty. You can truly imagine holding a jewelled box or ornament in your hand during this music, twisted and turning it to behold the beauty as light breaks the edges of the stones. Enzo’s debut album is out this week, we definitely recommend you check it out for something new and soothing.
