The super cellophane headed jazz masters Get The Blessing are back with a new album of incredible experimentation and new blue heads (see image below). ‘Monkfish’ from it is suitably and proudly off-kilter perhaps like a fish who has become a monk or the quirky humour of The Fast Show character of the same name:
New Album “Astronautilus” which is out 18th Sept, is dedicated to the memory of the late Ornette Coleman, was literally composed between crashing waves and deserted estuary sands, producing an album of pounding rhythms, spacious atmospheres and strongly-crafted melodies – plus, of course, the unpredictability and musical mischievousness that have made the band so exciting and successful.
